The palm imprint, discovered on an artifact called the 'house of the soul', was left by the potter who made the object before the clay dried. It was found at the base of a clay model dating from 2055-1650 BC, used in Egyptian tombs for offerings. Helen Strudwick, an Egyptologist at the Fitzwilliam Museum, emphasized the rarity of the find, which offers a personal connection to the artifact's creator. The 'Made in Ancient Egypt' exhibition features the artifact and runs until October 3.
