AUR leader George Simion has decided to withdraw from the debate organized by Digi24, in which other candidates were also participating, out of respect for Călin Georgescu. Simion emphasized that, in his view, democracy has been trampled on in this election campaign. He presented a bouquet of flowers to Elena Lasconi, saying that she was the only one of the candidates who had been voted by Romanians and deserved to take part in the final showdown.
