The Minister of Economy, Radu Miruță, has announced the resumption of graphite mining in Baia de Fier, Gorj, through a government decision that maintains the concession license. Graphite, a valuable mineral, will contribute to economic development and create jobs. Romania has the potential to produce much more graphite than Norway, the European leader, with 98% purity. Miruță has been an active supporter of this project, both as an MEP and as a minister.
