DNA has said that Deputy Prime Minister Dragoș Anastasiu was a whistleblower witness in a corruption case linked to a former ANAF advisor, although he claims he was only a witness. Anastasiu admitted payments of more than €150,000 but was not criminally charged due to a legal provision. Critics from the ruling coalition and the Opposition are calling for his dismissal, stressing that his involvement undermines the government's credibility.
