Meteorologists announce an intense heat wave with temperatures up to 41 degrees Celsius in Bucharest and other counties, with restrictions on tonnage on the roads.

On Tuesday, the heat wave will intensify, with a code red forecast for Bucharest and the counties of Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Călărași and Ilfov, with temperatures of 40-41 degrees and tropical nights. Another 13 counties will be under code orange and yellow. Tonnage restrictions will be applied on the roads in these counties, except for essential transportation. In Bucharest, the discomfort will be more pronounced, with possible showers and thunderstorms in the second part of the day.
