欧洲航空安全局（EASA）拒绝了单飞商业飞机的想法，得出结论认为没有足够的证据来确保与双飞机组相同的安全水平。一项为期三年的研究突显了与疲劳和机舱内缺乏冗余相关的风险。飞行员协会欢迎这一结论，称其为‘现实测试’，强调尽管有经济动机减少机组人员，但安全仍然是首要任务。飞机制造商承认，目前飞行员仍将继续在运营中发挥重要作用。
