Meta has sought to strengthen its AI teams through attractive offers, including bonuses of more than $100 million for OpenAI employees. Sam Altman, the director of OpenAI, said that despite these offers, the best employees did not agree to leave. Meta, although it has invested billions in AI, is considered a secondary player and faces criticism for the disappointing performance of its Llama 4 model. The company plans to invest $14 billion in Scale AI and develop a lab for superintelligence, but Altman emphasizes that Meta's approach will not create an innovative corporate culture.
