The knockout stage of the 2026 World Cup is nearing its end, leaving behind a spectacular bracket for the quarter-finals. So far, six top teams have already secured their place in this elite phase: France, Morocco, Spain, Belgium, Norway, and England.

The only unknown remaining in the equation is the composition of the last quarter-final. This will be definitively established on Tuesday evening, July 7, after the last two matches of the knockout stage are played. The first match of the evening, Argentina - Egypt, will be played in Atlanta starting at 19:00, followed by the knockout show being definitively closed at 23:00, in Canada, in Vancouver, where Switzerland and Colombia will face off.

The schedule for the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup

The first quarter-final will take place on Thursday, July 9, at 23:00, and will feature France against Morocco. This match represents a highly charged rematch of the semi-final from the 2022 World Cup.

The second quarter-final is scheduled for Friday, July 10, at 22:00, when Spain and Belgium will clash in a match with huge stakes.

On the other side of the bracket, on Sunday, July 12, at midnight (00:00), England will measure up against Norway.

The last quarter-final will be played on Sunday, July 12, at 04:00. (The winner of the Argentina-Egypt match will play against the winner of the Switzerland-Colombia match).
