Victoria Mboko, 18, won her first WTA title in Montreal after a dramatic final in which she defeated former world number one Naomi Osaka 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. Mboko, who grew up in Canada and started playing tennis at the age of three, has impressed with her run, eliminating four Grand Slam winners. The victory marks a milestone in her career, as she was ranked 350th WTA at the end of 2024.
