Universitatea Craiova has sold Alex Mitriță to Zhejiang Professional FC for €2 million, a significant loss ahead of the new season.

Alex Mitriță, Universitatea Craiova's key player, has been transferred to Chinese side Zhejiang Professional FC for €2 million. The departure represents a major loss for coach Mirel Rădoi, given his contribution over the last two years. Mitriță chose China after a discussion with Nicolae Stanciu, emphasizing the value of the competition. He signed a 3.5-year contract, given that he is 30 years old, and team owner Mihai Rotaru admitted that it is a major loss but also a financial opportunity for the player.
