UEFA has fined Chelsea €20 million ($23.6 million) and Barcelona €15 million ($17.7 million) for breaching financial monitoring rules. Both clubs risk further fines in the future if they fail to meet financial targets. Chelsea was investigated for the sale of two hotels and received a record fine similar to what other clubs were fined in 2014. Lyon was also fined 12.5 million euros ($14.7 million) following financial problems.
