In the last round of the SuperLiga play-out, Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe lost 1-2 against Unirea Slobozia, thus being relegated to League 2. The team finished 15th with 26 points, while FC Botoșani avoided the play-offs with a win over FC Hermannstadt. Petrolul Ploiești defeated Poli Iași to consolidate 3rd place, while Farul Constanța missed the play-off for Europe, dropping to 5th. The maintenance play-offs will include Unirea Slobozia and FC Voluntari, respectively Poli Iași and Metaloglobus.
