Senegal won the Africa Cup of Nations final in Rabat, defeating the Moroccan national team 1-0 after extra time.

The match took place at Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah and was marked by a start without goals. In the seventh minute of extra time, the referee awarded a penalty to Morocco after a VAR check, but the Senegalese players, considering the decision unfair, protested and left the field. After the intervention of captain Sadio Mane, the team returned to the field.

Brahim Diaz took the penalty, but it was blocked by goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. In the extra time, Senegal managed to score through Pape Gueye in the 94th minute, thus securing their second victory in the history of the competition, after the one in 2021.
