Romania will host, for the first time, a European Judo Championship dedicated to mixed teams, after the Romanian Judo Federation received official approval from the European Judo Union for the 2027 edition. The competition will take place in Cluj-Napoca, at BT Arena, a modern hall that will contribute to the success of the event. This competition will be crucial in the context of the Olympic cycle, having a direct impact on world rankings and qualification for the Olympic Games.
The decision to organize was confirmed during the Ordinary Congress of the European Judo Union, where Romania was represented by the leaders of the federation.
