The Brazilian forward Rodrygo, a player for Real Madrid, has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee, after getting injured during the match against Getafe, in which he came on as a substitute.
This serious injury will require a long recovery period, meaning Rodrygo will be absent from the field for the rest of the competitive season. He will also miss the 2026 North America World Cup, where he would have been selected for the Brazilian national team. The Madrid club confirmed the diagnosis through an official medical report.
