Real Madrid has officially announced the transfer of Ibrahima Konate from Liverpool

Real Madrid has confirmed that it has reached an agreement for the transfer of Ibrahima Konate, the 27-year-old French central defender, who will leave Liverpool at the end of June, after the two parties failed to agree on a new contract due to differences in valuation and salary. Konate will sign a four-year contract with Real Madrid, valid until June 30, 2030.

The defender was brought to Liverpool from RB Leipzig in 2021 for a fee of £35 million, and has made 183 appearances for the club at Anfield, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and two League Cups. Recently, Konate expressed regret that he did not have the chance to say goodbye to Liverpool fans in his last Premier League match, emphasizing that he did not know that it would be his last appearance in the team's shirt.
