On Sunday evening, Real Madrid finished the match against Elche in a draw, with a score of 2-2, in the 13th round of La Liga. Elche opened the scoring in the 53rd minute through Aleix Febas, but the Madrid team equalized in the 78th minute when Dean Huijsen scored from Bellingham's pass. Elche regained the lead in the 84th minute through Alvaro Rodriguez, but Bellingham equalized again for Real Madrid just three minutes later, with a controversial goal, after a possible uncalled foul on goalkeeper Iñaki Peña.

Xabi Alonso's team remains in the lead, with 32 points, but FC Barcelona is just one point behind. Elche is in 11th place, with 16 points, and is the draw king of La Liga – with six matches ending in a draw.
