Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are courting Dayot Upamecano, the central defender from Bayern Munich, whose contract extension negotiations have stalled. Upamecano's agents are asking for a bonus of 20 million euros, an amount that Bayern has paid to other players, but the Bavarian club is only willing to offer half of that sum.
Real Madrid would agree to offer him an annual salary of 10 million euros, plus the full bonus upon signing, while Barcelona proposes a salary of 14 million euros, with the bonus spread over five years. Upamecano, at 26 years old, played in the World Cup final in 2022 and has an impressive track record, being valued at 60 million euros.
