The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has decided to suspend all scheduled tournaments in the country, following airstrikes launched by the United States and Israel against Iran. This situation has generated tensions in the region, and Iran has retaliated with attacks on American interests in the Middle East, including in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
Among the affected competitions is the Finalissima 2026, the match between Spain and Argentina, which was supposed to take place on March 27 in Qatar. QFA has announced that it will communicate the new dates for the resumption of competitions later, and the final decision regarding the match rests with UEFA and Conmebol, the event organizers. The region is on high alert due to the escalation of the conflict.
