Senegal has qualified for the final of the Africa Cup of Nations 2026 after a 1-0 victory against Egypt, in a re-edition of the 2021 final. Senegal has reached its third final in the last five editions of AFCON, also achieving its 11th victory in the last 12 matches against African opponents.
The semifinal between Morocco and Nigeria was decided after penalties, following a balanced match that ended 0-0 after 120 minutes. In the penalty shootout, Morocco won 4-2 and qualified for the grand final.
In the final act of the competition, host Morocco will face Senegal (January 18), while Egypt and Nigeria will play the small final for third place on January 17.
