Rădoi was officially presented in Gaziantep. The coach made his first statements after signing with the Turkish club. At the official presentation, Rădoi revealed that he had offers from Saudi Arabia as well, but he said he was confident in the project in Gaziantep, which led him to accept the offer from Turkey.
“If Burak Yılmaz had not resigned, I would not be here now. I thank you. I came here because I believe in the project. My staff also believed in the project, and that allowed me to come here.
I have also been in Turkey as a player, but also as a coach. The football in Romania is similar to that in Turkey. The mentality is the same. I also had offers from Saudi Arabia, but I chose Gaziantep,” said Mirel Rădoi at his first press conference as the coach of Gaziantep.
Alongside the Romanian coach, the press conference was attended by president Memik Yilmaz, as well as other club officials. The Romanian coach signed a contract for one and a half years with the Turkish club.
