Swiss Mathilde Grémaud won her second consecutive Olympic title in slopestyle, surpassing Chinese superstar Eileen Gu, who missed the chance to become the first freestyle skier with three gold medals in a single edition of the Olympic Games.
Grémaud impressed with a second run scored at 86.96 points, while Gu, who initially took the lead with 86.58, had difficulties landing on the opening rail in her final attempts. On the podium, Canadian Megan Oldham secured third place with 76.46 points, more than ten points behind the silver medal. In Beijing, Gu won three medals, but is now preparing for big air and half-pipe competitions in Italy.
