Marketa Vondrousova, former Wimbledon champion, has been suspended for four years by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) after she refused a doping test on December 3, 2023. The suspension will last until June 21, 2030, when the Czech player turns 30. ITIA announced that Vondrousova did not provide a sample at her home, following a notification from a doping control officer.

During the hearing, she mentioned that stress, mental health issues, and safety concerns influenced her decision to refuse the test. However, the tribunal concluded that there was no compelling justification for this refusal. Vondrousova, a former world number one, has not participated in tournaments since her withdrawal from the Adelaide International in January due to a shoulder injury.
