Lewis Hamilton continues to have modest results in the current Formula 1 season, finishing in 20th place in the qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Although he had a promising free practice session, with a 5th place, the heavy rain affected visibility during qualifying, and Hamilton had difficulties maintaining control of the car.
This is the first time in his career that he finishes a qualifying session in last place. The pole position was obtained by Lando Norris, and his teammate, Charles Leclerc, finished in 9th place. Hamilton expressed disappointment at the result obtained but mentioned that the pace of the Ferrari car gives him hope for the race, although he acknowledges that it will be difficult to recover positions on a street circuit. With only three races left in the season, Hamilton is in 6th place in the drivers' standings.
