The NBA superstar LeBron James began his 23rd season in the North American league on Tuesday night, setting a new record after missing time due to sciatica. At 40 years old, James played against the Utah Jazz, under the cheers of the Los Angeles Lakers fans, who won the game 140-126. LeBron had a solid performance, scoring 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 12 assists.
This season marks an important moment for James, who surpassed the previous record for seasons held together with Vince Carter. Although he missed the first 14 games, the Lakers have started the season well, currently sitting in 4th place in the Western Conference. James has resumed training without pain, but has not yet announced his retirement date.
