Kobbie Mainoo, the midfielder of Manchester United, has signed a new contract that ties him to the club until 2031, thus ending months of uncertainty regarding his future. The English international, who turned 21 this month, has agreed to a new improved deal for a period of five years and completed the paperwork at the club's Carrington training center on Wednesday.
His previous contract, signed before making his debut for United's first team, was set to expire in the summer of 2027 but included an option for an additional year. This new agreement reflects the club's confidence in his talent and commitment to further develop him. Mainoo, who had been sidelined under Ruben Amorim, has regained the form that established him during Michael Carrick's tenure.
