Julia Sauter, at the age of 28, managed to qualify for the women's figure skating free program at the Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina on Tuesday evening, achieving a score of 63.13 points, her best in the short program.

The skater described her performance as solid and mentioned that she felt prepared, having a similar approach to her training at home.

Although she felt the pressure of the competition, Julia managed to focus on the present moment and enjoy the Olympic experience. She emphasized the importance of the journey so far and mentioned that being present at the Games represents the fulfillment of a dream, with her family alongside her in the arena, which made the moment even more special.

We also note that the Romanian delegation achieved a remarkable result at the 2026 Winter Olympics with the men's bobsleigh team consisting of Mihai Tentea and George Iordache, who finished the competition in 5th place.
