English defender John Stones has signed with Inter Milan, a team coached by Cristian Chivu.

English defender John Stones has signed a two-year contract with Inter Milan after leaving Manchester City at the end of last season, the Serie A champions announced on Thursday. The 32-year-old international (93 caps) had been a free agent since July 1.

A former player for Barnsley and Everton, Stones joined Manchester City in the summer of 2016, the same summer as Pep Guardiola, for whom he was the second signing.

He played in 295 matches for the club. However, his last four seasons have been marked by numerous injuries.
