FIFA has appointed Venezuelan Jesus Valenzuela as the referee for the third place match at the World Cup, between France and England

FIFA announced that Venezuelan referee Jesus Valenzuela will officiate the small final of the World Cup, scheduled for Saturday, between France and England. Valenzuela, 42 years old, has experience in this tournament, having previously refereed three matches, including two from the group stage: Australia – Turkey (2-0) and Bosnia – Qatar (3-1), as well as a match in the round of 16, Ivory Coast – Norway (1-2). He also officiated the match in the quarter-finals between France and Poland, which ended 3-1. In the match between France and England, Valenzuela will be assisted by his compatriots Jorge Urrego and Tulio Moreno.
