Romanian tennis player Jaqueline Cristian scored an important victory in the second round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Montreal against Czech Linda Noskova. The 27-year-old Cristian, ranked 59th WTA, won the match 6-3, 6-4 after one hour and 19 minutes of play. Despite trailing 4-2 in the second set, the Romanian rallied to close out the match with four consecutive deuces. She won a check for 33,000 dollars and 65 WTA points and will now play the winner between Elena Rîbakina and Hailey Baptiste.
