Despite uncertainties related to the conflict in the Middle East, Infantino firmly stated that 'Team Melli' (the national team of Iran) will play all three group stage matches in the United States. This confirmation comes after Iran threatened a potential boycott of the competition, requesting the relocation of the matches to Mexico. Infantino reiterated that Iran's participation is guaranteed, emphasizing the importance of the event for all qualified teams.
