The visitors led until the 90+2 minute, when Leao equalized with a header. Genoa was awarded a penalty in the last play and Nicolae Stanciu, who came on in the 83rd minute, was designated to take the penalty. He chose a powerful shot, but the ball went well over the crossbar. Stanciu remains without a goal in Serie A, having scored only one goal for Genoa in the Coppa Italia.
