Brazilian team Fluminense managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the Club World Cup after defeating Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal 2-1. Martinelli opened the scoring for Fluminense in the 40th minute, but Al Hilal quickly equalized through Marcos Leonardo in the 51st minute. The decisive goal was scored by Hercules in the 70th minute to secure the victory for the Brazilian side, who had earlier eliminated Chivu's Inter.
