The guests regained the lead with Diedhiou's goal in the 32nd minute, and at halftime, the Latvians went in with a one-goal advantage.
At halftime, Eddy Gnahore and Ronny Labonne were left on the bench, with their roles taken over by Alex Stoian and Valentin Crețu. The 71st minute brought a superb play, with Stoian and Bîrligea in the spotlight, the young red-blues player penetrating the box and sending the ball to Boutoutaou, who equalized the situation on the scoreboard.
The Latvians struck in the fourth minute of stoppage time when Kader Kone scored with the generous help of Târnovanu.
