International Master Fabiano Caruana won the title at the Grand Chess Tour Finals 2025, held in São Paulo, Brazil. This is the first edition of the competition in South America, bringing together the top four players from the circuit. Caruana won $150,000, and the total prize fund was $1.6 million.
