Singer Ed Sheeran has bought shares in football club Ipswich Town, where he has been shirt sponsor since 2021.

Ed Sheeran, 33, has become one of the owners of Ipswich Town football team, acquiring a 1.4% minority stake. Sheeran has been a sponsor for the men's and women's soccer teams since 2021. Following the acquisition, he will not hold voting shares or be a board member. Sheeran grew up near Framlingham, Suffolk, and is a keen supporter of Ipswich Town.
