Don Nelson, former player and legendary coach in the NBA, passed away on Sunday, August 9, at the age of 86. He won 5 titles as a player and was named the best coach of the season in the North American basketball league 3 times.

Don Nelson's last tenure was with the Golden State Warriors, from 2006 to 2010. He insisted that Steph Curry be selected in the 2009 draft. Don Nelson ranks second in the list of coaches with the most wins in the NBA regular season, with 1,335 victories, surpassed only by Gregg Popovich.
