Dinamo drew with Aarhus, 25-25, and earned its first point in the Men's Handball Champions League

Dinamo earned its first point of the current men’s handball Champions League campaign after drawing 25-25 away to Danish side Aarhus. The Romanian champions put in a solid performance in their second group-stage match and came close to securing victory.

“The Dogs” went into halftime with a one-goal lead, but the hosts fought back in the second half and led by as many as three goals. Dinamo responded strongly late on and kept the fight for the two points alive.

Goalkeeper Ionuț Iancu made several important saves, playing a decisive role in the Bucharest team’s chances. With approximately one minute remaining, Dinamo had an attack that could have brought victory, but Vujovic hit the post. The Romanians’ defense then held firm, while the final shot of the match, taken from halfway by Vujovic, went over the bar.

Dinamo had lost its opening group match at home to Montpellier, 23-27. The Romanian champions’ next opponent will be Barcelona.
