The champion Dinamo Bucharest managed on Thursday, at home, to achieve their first victory in Group A of the Champions League, defeating the French team HBC Nantes 29-28, after being at a disadvantage at halftime, with a score of 12-15. The main stars of the match for Dinamo were Langaro and Dedu, each scoring 6 goals, while Nistor contributed with 5. On the other side, Leopold was the most efficient player of HBC Nantes, with 7 goals. This victory allows the Dinamo team to escape the last place in the group, accumulating 2 points and climbing to the 7th position. In the eighth round, other matches were also held, and Dinamo will play their next match away on November 26, against Industria Kielce. Previously, Dinamo had a series of defeats in the competition, and in the last season, they were eliminated in the playoff stage by SC Magdeburg, the subsequent winner of the trophy.
