Romanian swimmer David Popovici, 19, won his second European title in the 200m freestyle with a time of 1:43.13.

This is the fourth European title of his career. Popovici won the 200m freestyle final at the European Championships for the second time in a row, followed by Danas Rapsys (Lit) and Antonio Djakovic (Ser). He is the reigning European champion in the 200m freestyle and the record holder.
