David Popovici will compete at the event "Sprint with the Stars" in Otopeni, where young skaters will compete alongside international stars.

"Sprint with the Stars" is a swimming event organized by David Popovici at the Swimming Complex in Otopeni, inspired by Adam Peaty's concept. The competition, which previously only took place in Great Britain, brings to Romania big names in swimming, such as David Popovici, Adam Peaty, and other world-class athletes.

Approximately 1,300 young swimmers have registered to compete in short 50-meter races, having the chance to compete with the best. David Popovici stated that he wants to give children the opportunity he did not have, to compete alongside stars. The event will be broadcast on TVR and will include morning and afternoon sessions, with finals for different events.
