Cristian Chivu was named the coach of the month of December in Serie A, according to the announcement made by legaseriea.it. The trophy will be presented before the Inter-Napoli match, scheduled at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan. Chivu, who leads the team with determination and charisma, took over the Inter bench without a team, asking the players to focus on the speed of play development and maximizing offensive recoveries.

In December, the team achieved three victories in as many matches, bringing Inter back to the top of the standings. The award is given by a jury made up of sports newspaper leaders, who evaluate coaches based on technical and sporting criteria, as well as behavior during matches. The final calculation took into account rounds 14-17 of the 2025/2026 Enilive Serie A season.
