In the first stage of the Romanian Cup groups, Sănătatea Cluj suffered a severe defeat against CS U Craiova, score 1-4. The most unusual moment of the match was the appearance of the owner of the Cluj team, Aurelian Ghiță, on the field in the 89th minute, at the age of 61.
Ghiță was sent onto the field by coach Vasile Miriuță, playing as a forward for four minutes. At the end of the match, Ghiță stated that he wanted to inspire the team and give them confidence, emphasizing his passion for football and his desire to perform, even in League 3.
