Cristian Chivu had an unconvincing debut as Inter Milan coach, drawing 1-1 with Monterrey in the Club World Cup in the USA. The match, played at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, was marked by veteran Sergio Ramos' goal in the 25th minute, followed by Lautaro Martinez's equalizer in the 42nd minute. Inter, favored to win, will face Urawa Red Diamonds on June 21, while Monterrey will take on River Plate.
