But Newcastle equalized shortly before half-time through Alexander Isak in the 43rd minute and it was 1-1 at the interval. Chelsea took the lead in the 57th minute through Cole Palmer. Mudryk also scored in the 76th minute to make it 3-1 to the hosts. Jacob Murphy reduced the deficit in the 90th minute.
