FC Barcelona won the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday evening in Jeddah, after defeating Real Madrid in the final, with a score of 3-2. The Catalans opened the scoring in the 36th minute, through Raphinha. Vinicius equalized in the second minute of stoppage time of the first half. Although referee Jose Luis Munuera had indicated three minutes of stoppage time, the first half ended only in the 45+8 minute.
The Catalans took the lead again, through Lewandowski, from Pedri's pass, in the 45+4 minute, only for Gonzalo Garcia to equalize again two minutes later. Then came the 73rd minute, with Raphinha's goal, a deflected shot that Courtois could do nothing about.
FC Barcelona prevailed 3-2 against Real and won the trophy for the 16th time, for the second consecutive year.
