The controversial move in Australia, at the beginning of February, of the match in the Italian championship between AC Milan and Como was confirmed on Thursday by the Italian football league.

For the first time in its history, Serie A is set to organize one of its matches abroad.

This match, which counts for the 24th round of the championship, cannot take place at San Siro, the AC Milan stadium, which will be used at the beginning of February for the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina (February 6-22, 2026).
