Study Mode is a new ChatGPT feature designed to help pupils and students develop critical thinking skills. It involves asking questions to gauge users' knowledge and, in some cases, refusing to provide direct answers, thus encouraging them to seek solutions on their own. The feature is optional, allowing users to choose between active learning or conventional answers. Study Mode is available to all registered users, including those not paying subscriptions.
