The Chisinau Court sentenced two men for trading in influence after they promised Romanian citizenship to Russians in exchange for large sums of money. Between 2016 and 2018, they had demanded €15,000 for adults and €7,000 for children, illegally obtaining more than €170,000. The court ordered the confiscation of the sums and imposed consultancy bans. The judgment can be appealed within 15 days.
