The parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova began in Tokyo, at the Embassy's headquarters, where Ana Teișanu, a student at the University of Tsukuba, was the first voter. After the anthem was sung, she voted and emphasized that voting is a crucial responsibility for the future of the country. Teișanu encouraged citizens to participate in the vote, mentioning that Moldova's tomorrow depends on their beliefs and actions today. On September 28, 2025, the diaspora will be able to vote in 301 open polling stations, using the Moldovan passport or ID.
